GasSaver technology scoops finalist place at H&V News Awards 2018

Canetis is thrilled to announce that the GasSaver flue gas heat recovery system has been shortlisted for the Domestic Heating Product of Year (HIUs, Heat Pumps & Heat Recovery) category of the 2018 H&V News Awards.

The awards ceremony, which takes place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 19th April, is a showcase of the very best in innovation within the HVAC and building services industry and is the longest running and most celebrated ceremony of its kind.

“For our GasSaver technology to be recognised as potentially award-winning by a judging panel of this calibre is not only a great honour but it’s also proof of what we at Canetis already know – that the GasSaver is an outstanding product that deserves to be in the spotlight,” said Canetis’ Chief Commercial Officer Greg Finnigan.

When installed with a gas combi boiler, the GasSaver flue gas heat recovery system can raise the efficiency of an A rated boiler to close to 100% and save households as much as £180 a year on their combined energy and water bills.

“Recognition of the GasSaver in this way couldn’t have come at a more pertinent time,” said Greg. “From April the Government’s new Boiler Plus legislation comes into effect which specifies that one of four energy saving devices must be installed with every new combi boiler; of those four devices, only the patented Canetis GasSaver FGHR system can achieve these exceptional energy and cost savings. No other Boiler Plus option comes close.

“GasSaver technology is already being used by some of the UK’s leading boiler manufacturers and its ability to reduce energy usage and utility bills as well as the cost of house building by reducing Dwelling Emission Rates for such a small upfront cost is proven. The latest version of the GasSaver is even more effective and we believe that it is going to play a crucial role in boosting energy efficiency within the UK.

“Winning this award would naturally be hugely rewarding for us to see the GasSaver technology recognised as a best product, but the real winners will be the homeowners who save money on their bills, the building services industry that is able to cut the cost of building new homes and, most importantly, the environment.”

The winners of the 24th H&V News Awards will be announced at the event on 19th April and we will be keeping our followers updated on the results through our social media channels.
